Dissectum Group -red – In America this is probably the most popular and widely sold maple of the dissectum group. This maple maintains good dark purplish-red color in summer and does not scald easily. Beautiful leaves are deeply cut and dissected, and the tree has a strong cascading habit. Fall colors are a solid red. Use as a small tree or a large specimen shrub. Grows 3-4’ in ten years.
