Inaba shidare Japanese Maple

Zones 5-9 Sun to shade.                                  Read All About Japanese Maples
Dissectum Group -red – Large leaves, well spaced weeping branches, and deep purple-red color are outstanding characteristics of this maple. Young trees seem to grow taller and more slender than the others in this group, and this effect can be enhanced with staking. Young plants may look very similar to ‘Garnet’, but older plants will be more open and less cascading. Grows to 3-4’ in ten years. The Japanese name translates as ‘leaves of the rice plant’. 'Red Select' or 'Select Red' appears to be identical.
Awards: Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society.
